About Me
Hi everyone! I am Heather Martyszczyk and I am 20 years old. I live in Colchester, CT which I am more than grateful for because I get to enjoy all four seasons!
Throughout my photography journey, I have focused mainly on landscape and nature photography, although as I grow as a photographer I am going to start practicing portrait, pet, and car photography.
I developed my interest in photography a long time ago when my brother asked me to pose for him while he tested out his new camera. Growing up, my family knew I had photography in my veins as I would spend hours looking through random photos and editing them. I then started going through phases where I would take pictures solely to edit them, and then I would try to take pictures as best as I could without any editing. As I entered middle school, I began taking pictures on my phone of EVERYTHING. It never mattered what I was doing -- chores, going for a walk, running errands, hanging out with friends -- I always wanted to take pictures.
On my 16th birthday, I received the item that I had been dreaming of a majority of my life. My first camera, the Nikon D3500. This camera quickly became my pride and joy, I never let go of it. You could constantly find me taking pictures throughout my backyard despite rain, snow, wind. While I use my Nikon D3500 a lot, I also use my iPhone 12 Max Pro to practice my photography.
I know that I am forever going to enjoy capturing different memories throughout my life, and I would love to capture those memories for other people as well. It is important to be grateful for the memories you adore because you never know when everything can be taken away.
